The Kangaroo Island, 16kms off the coastline of South Australia,
Kangaroo Island is Australia's third largest Island.
Covering an area of 4,500 square kilometres it is 8 times larger than
Singapore.
Surrounded by unspoilt beaches and portected by National Parks, it
is one of Australi's best nature based destinations.
Kingscote, the main town on the island, was the first whitw settlement
in SA.
Before entering Flinders Chase National Park "munch on a bush
style lunch", and visit some koalas.
In the "Chase" take your camera down to Admiral's Arch and capture
the New Zealand Fur Seals at play.
Marvel at the magnitude of Remarkable Rocks - sculptured by nature
over aeons.
* Kangaroo island's geographical isolation from the mainland
has been a boon to its native wildlife: it is free from dingoes, rabbits
and foxes. Because of this, a number of threatened native Australian
animals, such as the koala and paltypuy.

Climate:
Kangaroo
Island has a mid climate with summers not quite as hot and winters a little
warmer than the mainland. Comfortable clothing including a wind proof
jacket (for cool ocean breezes), sturdy walking shoes and a hat are recommended.
