From Byron Bay take the Pacific Highway direction Brisbane, past Brumswick Heads and 12km after take the fort towards Wooyung.
The road is better and has less traffic with the possibility to follow the Scenic Drive which goes along the coast by passing by Kingscliff, and there l go in the direction of Fingal Bay, Tweed Heads which are separated in two by the river which itself diverges to form in various places many little creeks.

Coolangatta Snapper Rocks and Point Danger, to photograph the Capitain Cook Memorial Lighthouse, and next a return to the road towards Surfers Paradise by following along the beach.
